Cheap Exercise Bikes – Are They a Good Value?
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Roy Palmer
Cheap exercise bikes are two a penny – well not quite. But are they good value? Will they get you fit? Or is it false economy to spend well under £100 for an exercise bike.
A budget bike can be a complete waste of money or an absolute bargain buy. If the bike you buy doesn’t do what you want it to do then you will waste your hard-earned cash no matter how little you spent.
The reasons why you’re buying a bike are most likely to be:
- To get fit
- To lose weight
- To tone your lower body
- To recover from an illness or injury
With a bit of careful research you can get a really good bike that will meet your requirements at a very good price. However, there are some very shoddy bikes out there which will not last five minutes. Likewise, if you get bored of a very basic cheap bike within two weeks your not going to achieve your goal.
There are hundreds of cheap exercise bikes on the internet. If you’ve spent £75 on a bike you no longer use you’ll not get much selling it on eBay because you’ll be up against too much competition. You now have a piece of kit taking up space in your house that will probably make you feel guilty every time you walk passed.
Obviously a cheap exercise bike to one person may be expensive to another. When prefer the term ‘budget’ and use it for bikes under £200. It is possible to get a brand new bike for less than £75 – but we think they’re not worth even that as you’ll probably stop using it very soon. They look cheap, they feel cheap and usually fall apart quite quickly.
So before you think it may be too good to be true check out the features, reviews and what sort of warranty is available before you waste your money.
Roy Palmer is a teacher of The Alexander Technique and has studied performance enhancement in sport for the last 10 years. In 2006 he published a book called ‘Zone Mind, Zone Body’ about how to achieve a peak performance more often. He’s also a bit of an ‘anorak’ when it comes to exercise bikes and gadgets. Exercise Bike Parts – Buying Online is Convenient, Safe and Can Saves You Money
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Robin Murphy
Why should you purchase exercise bike parts online instead of simply walking into a local department or health store and buying them there? The simple answer is because most department stores do not have a large selection of bike parts for sell off the shelf. Chances are higher that you will be convinced to allow them to order the parts and fix the bike at a much higher price. Spare yourself the hassle and the extra expense by finding the parts on your own.
The biggest drawback to purchasing bike parts through the internet is the delay while waiting for the shipment to arrive on your door. Yet, chances are high that a local store is not going to have the part on hand and you will have that wait time even if you purchase through them at a higher rate. Plus, you do not have to waste time and gas going from one store to another asking for your specific part when you order online.
The best way to purchase exercise bike replacement parts is to find a reputable online seller with reasonable shipping fees. You may even be able to take advantage of sales which offer discounted or completely free shipping, especially if you spend a certain amount of money on the parts.
If you have not yet purchased a new fitness bike but are in the market for one now, consider checking the availability and price range for replacement parts on each brand you think of purchasing from. This could save you a lot of hassle down the line in the case your warranty has expired and you need to replace something for yourself.
There is nothing more frustrating than knowing you could easily fix a broken bike with relatively cheap exercise bike parts, but you cannot find anyone selling those parts. Often, the prices for replacement parts are so expensive you are better off replacing the entire bike, which puts you out of more money in the long run.
Schwinn exercise bike parts are by far the easies to find, online and in retail stores, because this is one of the most popular brands being sold today. Other popular brands that are relatively easy to find are LifeCycle exercise bike parts and of course the well known ProForm exercise bike parts.
Exercise bike parts can save you a lot of money and purchasing online will eliminate much of the hassle that local stores often create.
Follow the links for cheap exercise bike parts. You can find all exercise bike brands including ProForm, LifeCycle, LeMond and Schwinn exercise bike collection.

Cheap Exercise Bikes – A Buyers Guide and Handy Hints When Shopping for Exercise Bikes
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
Buying a Cheap Exercise Bike
If you are buying a cheap exercise bike then there are some things you need to look out for and be aware of before you shop and buy. I’ve written this article so that you know what to look out for when you go to buy a cheap exercise bike. This article tells you what everything means, and hopefully will inspire you to get the best product to help you get fit and lose weight.
Exercise Bikes are relatively simple, but the most important thing to get started with is the fact that there are actual two sorts of exercise bikes on the market. The two different designs are commonly known as the recumbent or the upright exercise bike.
Want to Buy a Recumbent Exercise Bike?
Recumbent models don’t have a saddle, instead the users sites with their legs in front of them. In other words imagine you are sitting in a chair and are a bit more relaxed than if you were sat upright. Best for people who are quite overweight, recumbent cycles also can help if you have a back problem
The downside to recumbent bikes is that the activities don’t exercise your arms as much, however an upright bike will do this… and I will tell you about those next.
Want to Buy Upright Exercise Bike?
Upright straight versions are suitable for those that want to burn calories fast and start a weight loss program. They don’t have the same comfort levels though that you might find with a recumbent cycle. These are the most common types and are designed in the way a normal bicycle is.
Magnetic Resistance or Tension Belts?
There are two different types of resistance when it comes to indoor fitness cycles. Some models comes with tension belts – and these are typically on the cheaper brands. Be aware that tension belts can sometimes wear out or even snap. The alternative is magnetic resistance.
Choosing magnetic resistance will instead give you a quieter ride that is also a smoother ride. You can adjust the tension rates on either of the two methods.
Are Exercise Bikes comfortable?
Not particularly although recumbent exercise bikes will always be easier to site in than upright versions. Adjust the saddle and handlebars to suit your height and weight. More often than not, the more expensive and costly the cycle, then the more comfortable it’s going to be. Make sure that you buy an exercise bike that suits you.
What is a Heart Rate Monitor?
Exercise means that your heart rate will increase. Exercise Bikes come with handlebar sensors or strap-on heart rate monitors so that you can monitor your data, set targets, and importantly… not over do it!
Having a HRM or Heart Rate Monitor on your fitness cycle can be motivating too. As a general rule of thumb the higher-end models will tend to have pre-set programs that change depending on your heart rate data.
Pre-Set Workouts & Programmes
A lot of cheap cycles don’t come with pre-set programs. Some might have some built-in but they tend to be quite limited and basic. If you are prepared to spend more cash on a better quality model then of course you will get more for your money.
Pre-set workout are essential as after spending a lot of time riding you will want to try something different in order to keep your motivation high. Costly cycles tend to show heart rate, calories burnt, speed, distance, and much more.
Will it take up much space?
No not at all. All models of exercise cycle will come with technical specifications so that you can understand how much room you are going to need in which to set it up. A lot are fold-up anyway, and can be hidden either under your bed or put into wardrobe.
What next.. let’s go shopping
I hope this buyers guide has helped you decide what you are going to get. For more information then there are some good Cheap Exercise Bike Reviews online which should help you to decide on what product best suits you and your fitness aims.

Cheap Exercise Bikes – Cheap But Functional?
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Dayton Gisli
When purchasing cheap exercise bikes, people most likely make a compromise somewhere, either in the quality of the materials or in the number of features. However, sometimes exercise bikes can be bought at bargain prices, because the manufacturer decided to discontinue the model or simply because the retailer wants to eliminate the model from its stock. You need to hunt down such promotions in order to find cheap fitness bikes that are both cheap and very high quality.
As mentioned before, the cheaper models usually lack certain features, so they are adequate only for basic needs. For example, the seat may not be adjusted. This is further translated into a decreased comfort which will surely affect your performance. Cheap exercise bikes are usually upright, as the elliptical trainers and the recumbent bikes include more options and are, thus, more expensive.
The cheap bikes typically feature monochrome LCD displays. In addition, the number of displayed parameters on the entry level exercise bikes is certainly lower. Distance, time and speed are shown on every type of bike, but the entry level ones most like do not feature heart rate monitors, calorie and fat calorie counters, or revolution counters.
Another issue typically found in cheap exercise bikes is how resistance is controlled. While more pricey models have digital controls, the entry level ones include knobs that allow you to increase or decrease the resistance manually. This proves to be bothersome at some point, but after all, it is one of the compromises that need to be made when purchasing cheap exercise bicycles.
You have to keep in mind, though, that not all cheap models imply use of low-quality materials and poor functions. After all, the price depends on the retailer, so you may want to perform a thorough search among the available retailers before deciding to buy such a piece of exercise equipment.

Children’s Bikes – Kids Dream Gift This Christmas
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Andrei Oste
Choosing a new bicycle for a growing little boy or girl may seem easy at first glance, but it is not really like that. Parents must carefully consult a trusted size guide because children’s bikes are actually measured in wheel size and not frame size. Measuring the leg size is for sure the most important aspect in determining what bike to buy simply because they must be able to touch the ground with both feet while sitting on the saddle. This applies only if the bike does not have training wheels or if the child is just learning how to ride a bicycle.
Another aspect worth considering is the quality and price of the bike you’re about to buy. With the global crisis still present, many parents cannot afford to buy expensive cycles for their kids and opt for a cheap children’s bike, which may prove to be a hazardous. Cheap kids bikes often break after only months or even weeks of using and usually don’t come with a guarantee from the retailer. Buying the broken parts or paying someone to fix such a bike will then add up to the initial cost. On the other hand, considering the bicycle will only suit the child for a limited time span, until they outgrow it, buying an expensive bike will be just as wrong.
Buying a new kids bike is not easy, girls dream about Disney Princess Children’s Bikes, boys may want Power Rangers Bicycles, but meeting their demands must be done carefully in order for them to enjoy their bike as much as possible. As we all know, children’s safety is paramount for their parents and as always, safety wear is highly recommended and should not be underestimated foe any reason. A good quality bicycle helmet and knee and elbow pads are a must if the little boy or girl is just starting to learn how to ride a bike. Usually children’s bike safety wear is available in bundle deals with the bicycle at any respectable retailer and is well worth considering. In addition, getting kids used to wearing protective bike gear will boost their confidence, make them feel special and appreciated, but will also save you the trouble of enforcing it later on. In the end, it’s all about putting a smile on a child’s face and we all know parents will do everything in their power and beyond to accomplish that.
If you’re looking to buy 12″ 14″ 16″ Childrens Bikes, this is the time to do it! Many online retailers offer massive discounts on kids bikes just before Christmas.

Quad Bikes For Kids – 3 Top Tips
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
Quad Bikes For Kids – Which One Is Right?
Having been in this industry for some time I have heard the same question injected in my ear time and time again which is; Should I get a cheap quad bike for my child? Below I have set out some reasons which may help you decide on what type of Child’s Quad Bike to buy.
1 – Why look at cheap?
It is pretty much stamped into our minds from when we were children that you should always look at getting a good deal, which can sometimes come at the cost of quality. When selecting Quad Bike For Kids you have to take a completely different stance, so let me explain.
If the purchase was for yourself, you would always try and get the best Quad Bike at the cheapest price, right? This in account works the same way with the purchase of a car, a TV and even a mobile phone. But can you answer this; Why do we look at the cheapest option when buying for your children?
The simple answer is this, and there are two categories;
a – A concern is going through your mind that thinks “will this just be another trend?” or
b – Will it only get used, abused, broken and then left to gather dust in the garden shed or garage?
2 – Will they grow out of it?
To answer this one is easy, and yes they will! No matter if it is a growing fad that just comes and goes or if it is something that they use for a long time, they will grow out of it at some stage. And once they do will define the next move, replace it if they have been using it and enjoying it, or just get rid of the one you have and see that “fad” goes away never to return?
The chances are that most boys will develop a liking for something with an engine, maybe a Quad Bike or even a games console with games relating to Quads or even cars, bikes or airplanes. With a girl, it is slightly different, yet in recent years there have been more and more girls taking to the Quad Bike or Motorcycle.
How much do you love your children is where you go from here, do you buy a cheap Chinese Imported copy or, go for something that has been proven and tested by many people?
MY TOP THREE TIPS
Tip 1
Stay as far away from the cheap end of the market as you possibly can. Even though most dealers will say that they carry parts for all models, they do not last. Always remember that the Chinese way of business is to make the most of now, and if “now” changes direction, so do they!
Tip 2
The difference in cost between a good Quad Bike and a bad one is normally only around £100. And, for the sake of that £100 you will find that reliability will make up that difference. The amount of people we have contact us asking for parts for some unknown manufacturer would amaze you.
Tip 3
Always look at something like Kazuma as a starting point. This one manufacturer has been around for many years and have continued to build the same machines for as long as I care to remember. Their main priority is Safety of The Rider!
You will always get out what you put in, so if you buy something that is proven safe, reliable and fun – those will be the three main attributes you will get returned, plus more. The safety of your children is paramount to manufacturers of these machines, so always follow the safety guidelines and never let a child ride a machine on a public highway.
To wrap this up I would like to make one final point. This is not an advertisement for any manufacturer or have I any relationship with any mentioned within this article. The manufacturer mentioned is one of many that operate a policy of safety which meets not just legislation but industry too.

Tips For Buying Used Kid’s Bikes on Craigslist
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Adnan Masood
Are you a parent who would like to buy a bicycle for your child, but are you also shopping on a strict budget? If so, you may need to opt for a used bike instead. One of the best places to turn to is Craigslist.org; depending on the size of your city or town, you can easily find hundreds of bikes for sale.
Here are some helpful shopping and search tips:
Make sure you are looking at a kid’s bike. Although it is easy to tell that most bicycles are for children, due to their small size, verify. You will start with a search; even if you use the phrases “kids bike,” you will get lots of postings for adult bikes. These slip through the cracks and not all sellers write “kids bike,” in their headline either. The price can also be a good indicator, as bicycles for adults are more expensive.
If you are not comfortable taking your child with you to look at the bike, get a few measurements from them first. Do these measurements with your child wearing the shoes they are likely to ride with. Measure the outside of their legs and in inseam. Take your measuring tape with you to look at the bike. You want to ensure your child can comfortably use the pedals and reach the ground when the seat is adjusted to the lowest or highest position. With that said, if you find a really great deal on a bike that you know your child will grow into soon, still consider buying it to store in the garage until then.
See if you can get a free helmet or knee pads tossed into. You might be surprised how many parents theme their children’s accessories to their bike design or color. These parents are likely to buy a whole new set of accessories when opting for a new bike. Plus, pads and helmets are things that kids outgrow. Lot of Craigslist sellers will automatically toss in a free helmet, but don’t be afraid to ask either.
If your child is a toddler or preschooler, it is best to look for kids bikes with training wheels. Don’t pressure your young child to ride a two-wheeled bike just because you were able to find a good one listed on Craigslist. Training wheels can be purchased separately and installed, you can look for a bike with training wheels, or you can just store that bike until your child is ready for two-wheels only. Also note that not all Craigslist sellers refer to bikes for toddlers as bicycles; they are commonly referred to as trikes and you should keep this in mind when searching for a big wheel.
Click here to Craigslist search multiple cities and categories; try the Craigslist Reader free for 3-days.

Why Your Kids Deserve A Quality Bike
Tags: bike to beach, cheap bikes, cheap bmx bikes, cheap exercise bikes, cheap kids bikes, cheap road bikes
By Ken Zalot
When parents are shopping for a bike for their kids, they may wonder what kind to get. Some parents may be tempted to buy a cheap model, however there are some great reasons that support the idea of buying a well made unit. Why your kids deserve a quality bike could be based on safety and the long lasting nature of it.
When kids are young and just learning how to move around on a two wheeler bike, they may have many accidents. The device could land on its side a few times as well as hit objects head on. The child may fall with their unit a few times landing over it or under it. When a bicycle is constructed using heavy duty material, it wont break or become loose. A great bicycle will feature many quality made gadgets and pieces. It will look nice and contain paints and material that are durable and long lasting. These units can be passed down to other siblings or friends. They will stay strong over many years and take the abuse that some kids put on them.
A system that is not put together very well and contains cheap parts, may fall apart with too much use. A child that has a couple of falls on their bike, may be disappointed to see that their new bike has loose handles, or a broken wheel. A well crafted unit will be able to handle the wear and tear that kids can often put on them.
When a unit is not well made, it could also pose a danger for the child. While they are riding their bike, a piece could rot or fall apart while they are using it. Handle bars could fall forward or come down quickly resulting in an accident. The seat could fall during use, causing the child to stumble and fall while they are riding their bike. A product that is cheap, may be built to last only a short time.
When parents invest in a quality made riding toy, it will last a long time. Some kids will use their units for a few years and want it to be in good shape for each of those years. A device that was well designed and crafted will be able to be passed down to other children as the bicycle becomes too small.
Quality paint and stickers will not fade in the sun, come off in the rain or chip. With bikes falling and banging into each other, paint that is not very strong will chip and break off. That can leave someone with a unit that looks older than it should. Quality paints will last even through many accidents and bumps.
Customers can find a great deal on a unit and a good quality structure by doing their research. They can look into great brands that have a solid reputation that can be trusted. Each bicycle will have specifications that will show parents what makes it stand out from the rest.
Why your kids deserve a quality bike could be based on the idea that parents want it to last and not fall apart during use. A great unit should be able to handle the sidewalks, and muddy trails without becoming loose or rattled. Parents may enjoy purchasing systems for their children when they know that they will last and do the job they are supposed to.
Get the exclusive low down on reasons why your kids deserve quality kids bikes now in our guide to buy childrens bikes online.
